Friends of the Foundation
Steady giving, recognized. The supporters who keep the work going between festivals.
Friends of the Foundation are the people whose giving keeps the work steady between festivals: the scholarships, the Launch business programs, and the medical debt relief the Wake Forest Rotary Foundation, Inc. funds year round.
Friends are recurring donors. A monthly gift of $45 or more, or an annual gift of $500 or more, makes you a Friend. Every dollar is tax-deductible, and a receipt reaches your inbox as soon as you give.
Recognition, not overhead

That is the whole list. No dinners, no merchandise, no overhead. Recognition only, which is why your entire gift is deductible and your entire gift funds the work.
A permanent charter list
The first 100 donors, individuals, families, and businesses, whose giving reaches $500 become the Founding 100 of the Wake Forest Rotary Foundation Endowment. Friends renew year to year. The Founding 100 are listed permanently. When the hundredth name is added, the list closes for good.
Every kind of support
Friend status comes from recurring giving, monthly or annual, toward any designation: greatest need, scholarships, Launch, medical debt relief, or the endowment. The Founding 100 and the 1937 Society count everything: donations, sponsorships, and Legacy Raffle ticket purchases all add toward your total.
One note for tax time: donations and sponsorships are deductible, raffle tickets are not. Your receipt always shows which is which.
A seat at the table
Donors whose gifts to the Foundation Endowment reach $10,000, our Visionary level, are invited to join the Endowment Advisory Council. Council qualification is reserved for endowment giving because the Council exists to steward the endowment: the permanent fund whose earnings will support Rotary's work in Wake Forest for generations.
Council members receive an annual briefing on the endowment's performance and grantmaking, a standing invitation to attend Foundation board meetings as guests, and a voice in shaping the priorities the endowment funds. Membership is permanent, and members are honored by name at the Legacy Gala each year.
The Council advises, the Foundation's board governs. That separation is deliberate: it gives our most generous supporters a real seat at the table while the board stays accountable for every dollar.
Gifts of $10,000 or more may also establish a named fund within the endowment, a permanent fund carrying your family's or business's name, supporting the cause you choose.
Become a Friend
Give monthly or yearly, pick a cause, and choose how you would like to be listed. Your card is charged automatically, and you can change or stop it yourself at any time from the link in your receipt. No phone call, no awkward email to the treasurer.
Wake Forest Rotary Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, EIN 27-2887516. Gifts are deductible to the extent allowed by law, and a statement of your year's giving arrives each January.

Friends are listed by name unless they ask not to be. Giving amounts are never published.
